Mendel is a smart and practical network detection and response (NDR) solution that protects the network infrastructures of hospitals, banks, technology companies, and many other interesting sectors. Mendel processes large volumes of data from network traffic and uses algorithms and machine learning to find known and emerging security threats. In addition, it can do many other things – for example, show what’s happening in users’ networks or alert customers about bad settings of network elements and performance problems.

Network Security Analyst — Senior
Full-time position
Location: JIC, Brno-Medlánky, Czech Republic
About the Position
You will identify and analyze network threats and propose improvements to our product’s detection capabilities. You will learn new cyber attack techniques, work with state-of-the-art threat detection tools, and bring new perspectives and ideas to the team.
Your Skills
You are a great match for us if:
- You have advanced knowledge of network protocols and network security – you understand how networks work and where their weaknesses may lie
- You know how to detect and analyze network attacks – you can identify different types of attacks and respond quickly to security incidents
- You have experience in penetration testing – you know how to identify vulnerabilities and test the resilience of network systems
- You can design and implement solutions to security problems
- You can use tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, and Metasploit to monitor and test the security of network traffic
- You are proficient in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages
- You are proficient in Czech and English at B1 level – you can work with technical documentation and communicate in an international team
Nice-to-have Additional Skills
- Experience with advanced security tools such as SIEM systems or malware analysis tools
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar certification in networking technology
- Cybersecurity certifications such as OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
- Knowledge of IDS/IPS systems such as Suricata and the ability to create and modify threat detection rules
