Research Lead

We’re looking for an experienced research team leader who won’t be discouraged by complex problems, enjoys exploring new directions, and can help us push the detection capabilities of our product even further.

Who we’re looking for – and why

You’ll join our research team and collaborate closely with colleagues across the company. Everyone brings different expertise, your role will be to connect these perspectives, look for meaningful solutions, and provide technical direction that will move our product forward. Our research is not academic – we work with real data and design solutions that can be directly implemented by our development team.

You’ll explore new ways to detect threats, analyze network data, build prototypes, and tackle challenges that don’t yet have clear answers. At the same time, you’ll coordinate the team’s efforts, set research direction, and collaborate with other departments and external partners.

Research Lead

Full-time position
Location: JIC, Brno-Medlánky, Czech Republic

What you’ll do

  • Explore new possibilities for detecting threats in network traffic
  • Analyze data and propose prototypes that support development
  • Coordinate the research team and establish efficient processes
  • Collaborate with universities and the expert community
  • Define a long-term research strategy and keep up with trends in the field

What problems are we currently solving

  • Identifying network devices based on application data and their vulnerabilities
  • Classifying key network components (e.g. DNS servers, domain controllers)
  • Collecting and evaluating threat intelligence and distributing it across customer systems

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with applied research or data analysis in cybersecurity or networking
  • Ability to work with large datasets and abstract relationships 
  • Strong understanding of network communication and security principles
  • Analytical and critical thinking – the ability to reason about data at a higher level
  • Broad technical awareness – no need to know our exact tech stack, but you need to understand the problem space
  • Experience leading or coordinating a team – the ability to connect people’s knowledge and guide outcomes
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
